(1904) Armand Frappier was born. He was a Canadian microbiologist and physician known for his expertise on tuberculosis. Frappier prepared some of the first experiments and vaccinations against tuberculosis.

(2018) He Jiankui announced the birth of genetically edited humans. Twin girls were modified for resistance to HIV and born without issue. The controversial experiment brought He some support, but he was mostly condemned and eventually arrested for the act.

(2021) The World Health Organization announced the Omicron variant of Covid-19 as a “variant of concern”. Omicron would eventually become 99% of all Covid-19 cases in the US, however vaccines were protective in the long term and infections fell soon after.
