(1889) African-American educator and physician Sarah Louise Delany is born. Along with her work as a physician, she is remembered for being the first African-American person to teach domestic science at the high school level in NYC.
(1949) American lawyer Barry Scheck is born. He is famous for being on OJ Simpson’s defense team, and also for creating the Innocence Project, a nonprofit legal organization that uses DNA testing to exonerate wrongfully convicted people.
(1954) Welsh psychotherapist Adam Phillips is born. During his career, he worked as a child psychotherapist, trying to improve children’s’ well-being and mental health.
